I’m one of the Software Developers that works on a lot of website projects and I’m going to talk about the software development process and how it fits into a website that we build.So software development comes after we strategize your website and how it’s going to flow for their clients and then after the designers go in and graphically design the website and how it looks. So my job in the development phase is to take the ideas of what we want the website to do and turn that into software code that makes it happen on the website.So anything from a contact forms that need to get handled and emailed out to a reservation system that might take a reservation for a park or something as easy as you know accepting your credit card payments on the website for any kind of service that you offer through an e-commerce system.
Everything that the website does is handled in the development a stage of making the site. So to get yourself organized for working with a developer like myself, the best thing to do is make a short list of everything that you can think of that you want the website to do.
You probably have already done that with one of the web strategists but it’s important for your developer to be able to see the same list and then use it as a working list throughout the development process to get an understanding so that we can meet your needs exactly how it needs to be.
