When to Redesign Your Website
1. What role does the site play in your business?
One of which and probably the primary thing is what role does the website play in your business. If your site ties into your marketing at all, whether you’re driving traffic to it or trying to create a certain impression to your prospective clients, you really should have a website that’s on the highest quality level as possible.
2. Is the web design outdated?
And if your website is three four years old, at this point design changes have changed so dramatically that it’s probably time to consider redoing your website. For a lot of people and a lot of businesses, their website is the first thing that prospective clients see of their business, so it’s probably the most important or one of the most important places to put your best foot forward, in order to make a strong impression because a lot of people they judge a business by their website.
They’ll go to the website, they look at the website, and if it has a dated look, if it’s lower quality design, they’ll instantly have an impression of the business that may not be the impression that you want them to have.
3. Is it time to invest in the website?
If you’re in a position of considering redesigning your website, it is a very good investment. You’ll typically get 3 to 4 or even 5 years out of it, but again design styles have changed so much in the last handful of years that if you haven’t done it in the last three or four years your site is probably already dated.
