Hello this is Mikel with TinyFrog Technologies. I want to talk a little bit about how to work with a web content writer if you’re going to be hiring a content writer to write content for your website, which I typically recommend.
You could be a really good writer and you could have a lot of experience with writing and and have a really good flow to your writing, but if you don’t have a lot of experience in writing for websites, that’s a whole different approach. It’s a whole different art and science if you will. Most websites, most website’s content is too dense meaning it’s too wordy.
Most people when they land on a website, their approach is towards scanning and scrolling. You might notice that from your own patterns of viewing and experiencing and navigating websites, that most people nowadays are very busy. They’re not going to stop and read two or three paragraphs of text. They’re probably going to search, look for some kind of headline or sub headline or bullet or call to action or something and focus on that enough, then if they’re interested, they might drill down a little bit more.
It’s really important in general to consider hiring a content writer at least for the most important marketing pages on your website. The content is written in such a way that’s designed to engage your visitor, is written in such a way that it’s designed to communicate the tone and the personality of your brand and it’s designed in such a way to convert those visitors as well.
We strongly recommend working with a content writer almost in any circumstances so most recently we have an in-house content writer that we bring into most of our projects to at least write those pages that are the most important for conversion and most important for educating your visitors on the benefits of your services and to market them and to encourage them to take the next step, which is probably in most cases to contact you, to reach out to you. So if you have more questions on content writing for your website, feel free to contact us.
