Hey this is Chelsea with Tiny Frog and today I want to talk to you a little bit about WordPress page builders.
A page builder is exactly what it sounds like. Essentially, it’s a platform to help you kind of create new pages on the website and for the most part those page builders are the most useful in the back end of your website.
So essentially when you have a page builder and you need to build out a new page, there’s certain things that have become a lot more user-friendly with the use of page builders. The first and most important is the ability to drag and drop these different elements in different areas on the page, gives you a lot more flexibility and makes things a lot easier to edit. Another key feature of these page builders is obviously the ability to add and edit text and imagery and also place that with the drag and drop feature on different areas of the page. And finally, another feature of these page builders is really the ultimate flexibility of being able to create new spaces and have certain moving elements, such as you know fade-ins or slight animations, that make your text or imagery a little bit more interesting on the page.
There are a lot of different page builders out there. At Tiny Frog, we prefer to use a page builder called Site Origin and ultimately what we found is it’s really user friendly, it’s not overly bulky with features and things that aren’t necessary for building a new page, and it just makes the site run a lot smoother and perform really well.
