Hello this is Mikel with TinyFrog Technologies, I’d like to talk a little bit about the importance of content for your blog. A lot of our clients are fearful of using a blog because they’re concerned that taking on and managing a blog is a full-time job. And it could be. There’s a lot of bloggers out there spending a lot of time managing and updating and creating content for their blog. But a blog is really just a mechanism for archiving educational information and/or information that is important for visitors.
So your website should have a promotional component meaning it should be a marketing site. Your website should also have an educational component so when people are coming to your website often times they don’t always just want to be sold. They like to get more information or become more informed on what services you do and what products you offer and a blog is an amazing tool for that. There’s also some other really significant advantages of having a blog – one of which is that it’s probably one of the most important tools that can increase your exposure and ranking in the search engines. If you create content for your blog that content can instantly be re-purposed for your social media and also for your email marketing efforts. The blog content can play a really important role in giving people a reason to come back to your website.
So we definitely recommend having a blog on your website. We recommend weekly blog posts. It may seem overwhelming but if you can come up with a strategy for that it can actually become relatively efficient. And another little blog post I’m going to talk about is how to create really easy-to-create effective blog content. So having a blog is really important almost regardless of what you do.
