Hello, this is Mikel with Tiny Frog Technologies.
I want to talk a little bit today about telling a story through your website and also ultimately showing transformation through that story.
There’s a really good book that we recommend to our clients I’ve mentioned it before; it’s called “Building a Story Brand”. And really the underlying philosophy or premise of that book is that you really need to create a story that’s short, engaging, easy to tell and easy to understand. The website is one of the most important tools in terms of engaging with your clients. Your website really should tell your story of your to the company. It’s really not talking about you, it’s talking about your clients and the hero of the story is your client.
One of the things that’s really helpful is to show transformation, meaning if they decide to work with you, how easy it can be and how beneficial it can be. There are ways of doing it; through your messaging, through the visual experience, through the imagery. One of the things we do with our clients is work with them on various important pages of the website. Finding the right images that really represent or signify what it could be from a visual perspective (which really connects with someone on an emotional level) and what it can be like to work with you as a resource or as a vendor can help pull a visitor in. Oftentimes we’ll write short statements and engage in content that really speaks to that visual experience as well.
So showing a transformation, telling a story, really featuring your client as the hero is a the step-by-step approach to integrating a strong story into your website.
If you have more questions on how to tell a story through your website, definitely feel free to contact us. Thank you.
