How Understanding Visitor Intent Will Help You Drive Conversions
Hello, this is Mikel with Tiny Frog Technologies. I’d like to talk a little bit about website visitor intent and how to drive conversions. When someone lands on your website, they have an intention. When I speak to clients, I often ask, “What is the objective of your website?” This ties back to website visitor intention and usually my clients will say the intention is for visitors to contact us. That is a real primary objective for most websites – getting someone to land on your website to give you a call or to fill out a form.
But the reality is that when someone lands on a website, their intention could have multiple purposes. Their purpose might be to just gain information; their purpose might be to call you or to fill out a form. The visitor’s purpose might be to discern the credibility of the company. There’s usually multiple objectives and multiple intentions that someone has when they land on your website, so to that end, the website really needs to be strategized and designed to appeal to the multiple objectives. There’s a continuum of the sales process in terms of where someone is when they land on your website. Therefore, your website really needs to appeal to all of those objectives. It’s really important to develop a website plan, strategically before you go into design and development.
One of the things that we offer for our clients is a real clear approach towards strategizing around what the intention is for multiple types of users when they land on your website. If you have any questions on understanding user intent feel and how to drive conversions on your website, feel free to contact us. This is Mikel Bruce with Tiny Frog Technologies. Thank you.
