Four or five years ago when blogs started to become popular a lot of people were designing their websites to look like blogs. There should be a minimal amount of text. And use features like prominent link buttons, video, possibly a slideshow, opt in forms and quick contact forms in order to drive your web visitor to the area you’re hoping to drive them to. You only have 10 to 15 seconds to hold that visitor before they bounce off of your site. Set up your Home page in a simplified way so they know exactly where to go once they’ve arrived.
