When people are looking for a financial advisor, they tend to be pretty overwhelmed with the number of choices that they have. However, as a financial advisor you have an invaluable tool within your website to offer what makes you different from other financial advisors.
As a financial advisor, you probably have a pretty set criteria for the types of clients that you want to work with. Maybe you look at their income, their assets under management, their age and or how close they are to retiring. Or maybe you just look at the values and the solutions that they’re looking for. Regardless of the criteria that you’ve established for the clients, you want to make sure that you’re conveying the types of people you work with across your website, so that people understand whether or not you’re the right fit for them.
One really easy way to do this is to create case studies and success stories that you’re sharing on your website. A case study is a way that you can create a story that talks more about the types of people you work with and how you can help them. Within your case study and success story, you want to first introduce the type of client and where they’re at in their financial journey. You can do this by talking more about some common questions that they may have, the current challenges that they’re facing, and the goals that they wish to achieve. Once you’ve set that groundwork, you want to talk more about how you come into the picture and how your services can help them reach those goals and address those challenges.
Having those case studies on your website shows somebody that you understand what they’re going through and how you can help them. If you go to a website and you see a profile that looks just like you, you’re probably going to reach out to that person and ask for your help with your own situation. On top of feeling recognized and understood, your clients are also going to see the experience and the knowledge that you bring to the table and how your solutions can help them in the long run with their finances.
