One of the questions that our clients always ask us when they’re starting a website project is who will I be working with or what team members will be involved or engaged in the project with your web agency? Typically on a website project when working with a web agency, you will have a strategist, a designer, a developer, a project manager, and a WordPress trainer and they’re all very very specific skill sets.
I’ve never really met a designer who’s a really really good designer who’s also a really really good developer. And a really really good developer who is also really really good web strategist. They’re such different skills set to me. They all take a lot of time and energy and proficiency to develop the skills in those areas. So I think one of the advantages of working with a web agency and having a full team at your disposal is that you’re getting all those different skill sets in one project versus having one person or two people potentially doing all those different things. And creating content is another area that requires a very specific skill set. So there’s definitely an advantage when you’re choosing your website company to go with an agency that has a full team with all the different skills working on a project.
Consider a stool with four legs or so. Each leg is very important, each leg needs to be very strong and stable and if that leg is even slightly compromised, the whole stool could fall over. So it’s really important when choosing a website company or working with a website company to make sure that all those very specific skill sets come into play.
