Hi, my name is Chris Andujar with Tiny Frog Technologies and I wanted today to talk to you a little bit about brute force attacks. What hackers have created was a software that’s called brute force attack. What this thing does is it constantly constantly tries to intrude your website through a username and password. So it’s just constantly running every possible password or any type of username. And it’s annoying because it’s really clogging up the site, for one, can impact the performance because it’s constantly hitting your website.
There’s a part on a monthly basis where you should be performing all types of updates, keeping it secure. The security monitoring is only half the battle. The other battle is to try to prevent the intrusion by constantly doing updates. Kind of like your computer, you wouldn’t ignore all those important updates that come up and say critical update. It just has to be done because there’s an open door basically or window left open where viruses can actually intrude or hack your site.
